BirdDog Design is a small, independent graphic design company located in Vieux Hull, Quebec.
We offer a collaborative, fun and approachable way of working with our clients. Whether they are seeking a new brand identity, an innovative and agile digital presence or an entire branding campaign, we ensure their needs are met with efficiency and great style. We were established in 1995. Since then, we are proud to say that we are small enough to be responsive, but big enough to carry weight in the world of branding and marketing.
How do we do it? It comes down to our moral code.
Be kind.
Kindness comes in many forms, but in business it means listening to a client with compassion and authenticity. It also translates into respecting the demanding lives they have as leaders in business, non-profits, industry and new digital spaces. What else? We lead by example doing pro bono work and volunteering as community builders.
Work hard.
Or maybe we should say, ‘work smart’. We have developed a simple, streamlined creative process that is both collaborative and cost-effective. It works because we are a small, dedicated team of talented, highly-skilled professionals who believe more in making a difference to a client’s business than in billable hours. There, we said it.

What is excellence in graphic design? It’s nothing less than being able to sleep at night, knowing we have done great work with integrity. It even comes through in our workplace, a converted heritage building where our small team (and office dog) are in constant, collaborative communication with each other to achieve creative greatness. (Except for the dog.)
ABOUT OUR FOUNDER
Lissa Constantine is often described as a human firebrand. And by that, we mean that she sets hearts and minds alight with her vision, energy and zest for life.
Lissa founded BirdDog Design in 1995. From the beginning, she was determined to make a difference. A product of Generation X, directed by herself, without end, she avoided traditional approaches from the start, preferring to establish herself as a creative dynamo in the midst of a multitude of graphic design firms. From her first jobs creating iconic brands for most of Ottawa's trendiest ByWard Market restaurants, Lissa has delivered her personal credo: superb design comes before trends and fads. Lissa is the recipient of the prestigious 40 Under 40 Award from the Ottawa Business Journal. In 2013, she was named WBN Business Woman of the Year. She has been a member of the Ottawa Executive Association since 2010. She currently sits on its Board of Directors.
